My sister and I stopped at Glenghorm for dinner at the Crofter’s Table Restaurant while traveling along the Cabot Trail. The service was super friendly and attentive and the food was DELICIOUS!! We got the Caesar salad, seafood chowder and seafood pasta with homemade sun-dried tomato sauce (which they split into 2 portions since we were sharing). Both the chowder and pasta were LOADED with fresh seafood! Our expectations were well exceeded!

The dining room was full so we ended up eating in the pub downstairs which had live music. They were very accommodating in helping us find what our kids would eat and were very friendly. I had the burger and it was really good. The spices they used made the meat quite tasty. My husband had grilled halibut and said it was the best he’s had since we’ve been in Cape Breton. Well worth the stop after a long day of hiking in the park.

8/13/2024- Dinner at the Glenhorn Beach Resort- Crofter’s Table Restaurant Dinner was a surprise. We were told that the food was not very good here. My husband and I shared a delicious Caesar salad and a delicious seafood linguini. Would have been perfect, but the seafood was overcooked. Rate 4 out of 5. 8/14/2024 We came back for dinner on 8/14 and it was the absolute worst dinner we had in Cape Breton. I had a surf and turf. The steak was inedible, the scallops overcooked, there was no butter to dip the scallops in (as was stated on the menu) and no roll (as was stated on the menu). The mashed potatoes were tasteless and dry and the vegetables, a mix of carrots and turnips, were overcooked and terrible. In their defense (I hate turnips). I literally ended up feeding the steak I ordered to my friend’s dogs. Both our friend and my husband had the same potatoes and vegetables, but with halibut – and the halibut was OK. I gave this meal a minus 1, but by companions probably gave it a 2 out of 5. So overall for the two dinners, since I can't rate them separately, 3 out of 5

Very good lobster sandwich. Had lobster from multiple places on the island and this was the best. I saw another table ask for the chef to come over so they could thank him for the amazing food they had as well. Very good service.

Really yummy crofters chowder (so much fresh seafood) with garlic toast, ceaser salad was good but basic. Wait staff were super attentive and kind, no wait to get in and fast service. Bit pricey but good food so wasn’t too upset about the price.

Only visited the Thirsty Hikers Pub but the bartender on Saturday was awesome and super friendly. She was the only one down there with live music and was crushing it! Cheap drinks and a great atmosphere, would definitely go back again!

We had a wonderful seafood chowder, with the fish and chips, plus a dark craft beer. It was very yum. Service was very friendly and informative. Atmosphere was very clean, and the light Shanty music in the background very fitting. I would recommend the chowder.
